I'm an Asheville native, a product of our public schools, and a dad with two kids in Asheville City Schools right now. Our district makes too many decisions behind closed doors — and our students, families, and teachers pay the price. I'm running to change that.

My Priorities

Asheville City Schools is a small district with big potential. Keeping it strong means listening to the people closest to our kids — and being honest with the community about every decision we make.

Real Transparency

For too long, decisions have come down as ultimatums — announced after the fact, with no explanation of how or why they were made. The community deserves to be part of the conversation before decisions are final, not after.

A Voice for Everyone

Students, families, and teachers need a board member who listens. Teachers should be able to raise concerns without fear of reprisal, and parents who show up and speak out deserve to actually be heard.

Stop Cutting from Our Kids

Closed schools, cut programs, lost teachers — every budget crunch lands on students first. Cuts that harm kids have to be a non-starter. We should look everywhere else, starting with central office, before we ever touch the classroom.
